I've been working on getting a "real" studio built this fall and early winter. I've collected most of my art stuff that was scattered throughout my house and moved in even though it isn't quite finished. |
My inspirational west wall. I have work tables which run along the wall under these windows.
My husband was a little annoyed because I was so exact in how I wanted it to look. The words "it would be cheaper if..." passed his lips often. |

My computer and print area with the work tables in the forefront. The print laying on table is on silk.
My new pride and joy!
An Epson Stylus Pro 7900.
It will print up to 24". |

The whole back wall is storage shelves, and as you can see, I'm in the process of filling them. |
I've also done some soul searching and contemplating where my art is going. I felt like I had reached an end with the digital prints and wanted to do something else or something more. I attended a workshop at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Connecticut and this crystallized my direction. I've started to work on new projects.
The picture at the top of this page is of two of my digital monotype transfers to birch. I'm also doing transfers to poplar blocks. This is one of the hand pulled transfers in the paint
station waiting for the finishing coats of protectant to be applied.
I have also transferred to copper and aluminum. The monoprints below are drying but the two in front are on copper.
I am also printing on silk and will be doing more printing on custom substrates including fabric, plastics, and metals.
What fun!!!!
