Fire Element is an ultrachrome print of an original digital painting. It is printed on transparency film so that the copper sheet behind it will show through and give it the metal’s glow. A final coat of resin seals the image.

Original has a layer of resin over the copper and the film is floated in it. This creates a series of random bubbles under the image. These make the image unique and will never be the same twice. They also give an organic sense of movement to the image.

Second version is being made now with copper pipe for an accent across the top. It also was not floated so it has no random bubbles – just glow
